Whalers Brewing Company

Whalers Brewing Company was set to launch their first bottled product for Rhode Island retail in 2015, and I was brought on to illustrate and design packaging for their first three brews.

We landed on some clean, fun designs that celebrate Rhode Island’s coast and Whalers’ deep local affinity. Summer heartthrob East Coast IPA kicks us off with a mashup of South County and Newport vistas. Deep and smooth Hazelnut Stout features a nighttime rendition of Matunuck while playing homage to brewer Josh’s beloved fishing vessel, “Animal Style”; Finally, The Rise brings us north to the capital, Providence, to help represent the rest of the #401CraftFamily at a time where RI breweries were starting to flourish and advocate for themselves.
