Wayfair Video

In 2020, my phenomenal Wayfair coworker Emily Huizenga tasked me with propmaking for her video project, Not-So-Subliminal Messaging - the big idea being a “music video” festooned with rather unsubtle offers. Originally we hoped I’d bake actual, delicious layer cakes, but as it turns out perishable things are somewhat incompatible with shooting outdoors in summertime. Thus, I spent a week working out how to make faux cakes out of styrofoam, craft foam, sheetrock, and paint. Did I have any idea what I was doing? No. Was it awesome? Hell yeah. Did I accidentally spray glue a lot of sprinkles to myself? Absolutely.
